As a healthcare institution operating in accordance with medical, legal and professional ethical standards, Family Hospital supports transparency and the accurate information of the public. However, we cannot accept the dissemination of inaccurate information that creates a false perception of the quality of our services and the professional integrity of our staff.
With regard to the specific case, we clarify as follows:
The patient, Franc Ajdinaj, underwent rhinoseptoplasty surgery at Family Hospital on 10 December 2025.
After the removal of the post-operative dressings and discharge from hospital, the patient has had no further contact with the institution or with the doctor responsible for the regular post-operative follow-up. Such breaks in communication are not common practice for our patients.
The hospital took the initiative to contact the patient approximately five weeks later, after a negative review was published, in order to clarify the situation and provide the necessary medical assistance.
During communications with the administration and the attending physician, Dr Tedi Minarolli, the patient was clearly informed that such procedures require a recovery period and that a definitive assessment of the outcome cannot be made in the early post-operative phase. It was also assured that, should any issues related to the procedure arise, the hospital would assume responsibility for their treatment and correction in accordance with professional standards.
We emphasise that, according to post-operative protocols for rhinoseptoplasty, wearing glasses in the first few weeks is prohibited to avoid pressure on the nasal structures during the recovery phase.
Family Hospital has comprehensive medical and photographic documentation reflecting the initial outcome of the procedure, which it has made available to the competent authorities.
However, the patient has chosen to pursue the matter through legal channels, bringing a lawsuit against the hospital and the doctor. In respect of due process and institutional transparency, we have fully cooperated with the relevant authorities, and the matter is currently being handled by the competent bodies.
